Bridging Barriers in Evolution & Ecology Exhibitions
In my MFA Thesis, I explored how natural history museums and other museums that interpret science can best seize the opportunity they have to foster greater public evolution and ecology literacy. As a practical outcome of this research, I developed a consolidated toolkit of best practices and guidelines for integrating the thesis findings into the practice of creating evolution and ecology exhibitions. The toolkit presents a framework of universal barriers that visitors face in evolution and ecology exhibitions and suggests bridges that exhibition creators can build to help them overcome those barriers.
